2019 – 2023 Projects
Over the past three years the Greater London Authority and the European Social Fund have committed to supporting the creative sector of Tottenham and aspiring artists and creatives. Collage Works were involved in the investment in 3,500 new creative jobs and 1,000 training opportunities for local residents as well as creating 40,000 SqM of affordable workspace across London.
In collaboration with Fashion Enter, Collage Works provided a selection of skills-building sessions helping to connect local creatives through industry events and training opportunities and focused on North London-based creatives looking to upskill, re-train and network. The project ended in June 2023.
The Collage Works team also delivered a year-long Creative Academies programme in partnership with Rinova Ltd, supported by the Greater London Authority and European Social Fund (which ended in August 2023). They provided creative careers support, information, advice, guidance for over 100 Londoners who were interested in getting back into work opportunities, further training, or placements, and progressing their careers and aspirations in creative industries with other local creative people.
In 2018-2020, the Collage Works team led by Sarah Buller & Dowa Ojarike, co-produced THEY CAME BEFORE US with 50 young women of colour. This arts heritage project celebrated five women of colour and their contribution to Britain’s history from Tudor times to current day. Supported by National Lottery Heritage Fund.
