Quarter Issue 5
Happy New Year!
… Listen closely, and you can probably still hear the closing notes of Auld Lang Syne somewhere as we gear up for another round of activities, innovations, and celebrations here at the Chocolate Factory, with a brand new load of Quarters to talk about it all.
If you can believe it, the Quarter is now into its second year (how time flies when you’re having fun!) and is showing no sign of slowing down yet. We’ll still be delivering all the news on the wonderful and varied arts and music you’ve come to love, and we love to publicise. If you keep reading ‘em, you can be certain we’ll keep ‘em coming, and, as always, we love to hear back from you, so don’t be shy! Just drop us a line and let us know what you think, and what more you’d like to see.
This time around, we present a look into the burgeoning phenomenon of crowd funding and how impactful it can be on international projects, an interview with the Oscar nominated writer-director Yousaf Ali Khan, and some fantastic shows and acts to announce for the months ahead. It may be getting bleak outside, but we’re not letting that stop the fun, so come and join us at Karamel for music, exhibitions, workshops, poetry, or whatever takes your fancy. We hope to see you there!
