‘Not ordinary but extraordinary’
Young people from South London transform North London building
Chocolate Factory 2 on Coburg Road has been transformed by students from a South London school and Chocolate Factory artist Karen Lois Whiteread. The project ‘All Angels in Flux’ is part of the worldwide ‘Inside Out‘ project, brainchild of international artist JR and supported by Collage Arts. Inside Out is a large-scale participatory art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work.
Whiteread: “Well done to all the students that took part in the Inside Out project today. You were all amazing! Not ordinary, but extraordinary!”
The iconic visual artwork has been created in the run-up to the Chocolate Factory Open Studios and celebrates young people, identity and extraordinary talents. View the work this weekend and visit the N22 Open Studios at the Chocolate Factory as doors open to the public from 9th to 11th November.
