Love Wood Green Festival
The first Love Wood Green Festival celebrates the unique contribution of the Cultural Quarter with a series of events designed for all the family.
Manoj Ambasna, Chief Executive of Collage Arts, said “The Cultural Quarter is a unique asset in Wood Green making a massive contribution to the local economy and to the quality of life in the borough. We wanted to celebrate both creativity and diversity with the first Love Wood Green Festival.”
The festival sees over 100 artists opening their studios to the public. This is a great opportunity to talk to artists about their work and, in many cases, have the opportunity to buy a work of art or craft including fashion and accessories.
There is a programme of concerts at Karamel and Green Rooms including a concert by the 18-piece Stan Sulzmann Neon Orchestra and the festival opening show has Xantoné Blacq previewing tracks from his 3rd album, The Days of Dreams.
Manoj Ambasna continues: “There are lots of free events for all the family with exhibitions, children’s theatre and dance workshops from 3 continents. If anyone has not yet visited the N22 Open Studios then come and see us, you will be amazed at the diversity of work on show. We have also created the N22 Fashion Café as a pop-up for this year Open Studios, where you will get the chance to meet some of the fashion designer-makers training at Collage Arts.”
