Tomorrow’s Warriors LDN RISING: Kagura

27 July, 2023 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

A unique season of music as Tomorrow’s Warriors goes on tour, taking the best rising jazz talent to four venues across the capital every month. IT’S TIME TO JOIN THE WARRIORS LDN RISING!

Kagura featuries some of the finest young musicians in town. Superb technicians on their respective instruments they gel together supremely – and that’s no surprise because they have already been playing together for some time in various bands and you can hear it; they swing!

Led by trumpeter Klara Devlin, who is already on the radar of many bands, musicians and music lovers, this outfit are a delight to hear.

“Klara Devlin, remember her name, she is in my opinion one of the most amazing and unique new trumpet voices to emerge onto the UK jazz scene. To coin the famous quote ‘if ya ain’t got it in ya, ya can’t blow it out’. Klara Devlin definitely has it, and definitely blows it out of her horn! I’m about 2-3 jazz generations in front of her and I’ve never been this excited about a young musician in a while, definitely a stylist who’ll be making new waves for the next generation.” Tony Kofi

Band Line up: Klara Devlin – Trumpet; Chris Outhwaite – piano; Sophie Warner – drums; Oscar Ho – bass; Max Barnard – tenor.
