Alma Latina dance night

Exciting dynamic & experienced Latin group playing Latin, Salsa & Cuban music as a compact trio.
Alma Latina have performed at everything from weddings, business functions, Events, Latin club nights to Private parties. They’ve had such a blast bringing Cuban and salsa music to varied audiences and events and are always looking for new ways to get people dancing.
Yuri has a beautiful, authentic voice, is widely considered the best Cuban singer in the UK and well known for her work with Latin bands Son Yambu, Roberto Pla and Sarabanda amongst others. She has appeared in large festivals like Glastonbury and Womad and has appeared in TV and film, including “Red 2” and “ Boat Story”. She is a vivacious, vibrant and dynamic entertainer who also plays percussion & is capable of getting any party going.
Paul is an award winning, London based guitarist, singer and producer with over 35 years experience as a band leader for top Brazilian, Latin and World music groups, pioneering achievements in the UK, presenting African, Caribbean and World music culture.
Worried that your crowd might not be able to dance the Latin way? Don’t worry because their charismatic lead singer ‘Yuri’ can show them the basic moves. Yuri uses a high quality DPA headset wireless mic which allows her to be mobile and fully interact with the audience, during the performance or in the breaks to recorded music.
Their repertoire ranges from all the Cuban & Latin classics to Latin versions of pop songs in English & Yuri’s own compositions (Look for a new album coming soon).
