Collage Voices weekly offer for 8 to 18 year olds
“I’d just like to say a special thank you to Simone and the Voices team for the drama and singing classes. My daughter thoroughly enjoys them.” Colette Williams, parent of Voices Drama and Singing/songwriting participant.
“The workshop with Kevin was fabulous. It inspired our A-level group to write their own pieces of spoken word.” Cheryl Rosen, Assistant Headteacher, St Thomas More Catholic School.
What more is there to say?
Collage Voices develops and enables young people aged 8 to 18 to have a voice. We are delighted with the positive feedback from the Virtual sessions every Saturday in creative writing, drama, singing-songwriting, digital music.
Along with the fabulous singer-songwriter Kevin Mark Trail who delivered an really inspiring Spoken Word online session to St Thomas More drama students last Friday as part of our schools programme.
Here’s what some of the students said:
T: “An expert taking me through the steps to produce a piece of spoken word helped me to produce my piece.”
O: “The stimulus inspired me to go off somewhere. He was very encouraging.”
A: “The activities taught me how to gather my thoughts and then use them to create a performance.”
This week, we are also delivering:
>>Lockdown Monologues project: giving a voice to BAME women to share their stories
>>One to one session on Digital Music with Tony for one participant, and our continual offer of counselling, general support, help with technical equipment and one to one sessions and WhatsApp.
>>From Wednesday 17 June to Wednesday 15 July, 5x Zoom drama sessions as part of Theatre Centre’s exciting ImagiNation project with one of our partner schools. 19 scriptwriters have given the nation stories to rehearse and record. https://www.theatre-centre.co.uk/projects/imagination
