From digital to physical

ROBOTS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

Come and learn some practical digital skills including how to build and programme robots with Rae Harbird from UCL, some other guest contributors, Claudia Matera, a CLOCK expert working in the creative, digital and cultural industries. This is for people at all levels of experience from complete beginners to experts. All participants should be aged 16+.

Rae HarbirdΒ was awarded the UCL Provost Award for Outstanding Engager of the Year 2017 for her contribution to running workshops like this! Rae has many years’ experience of teaching people with no prior coding experience to program. She designs and runs events with a strong emphasis on practical activities and during the week she will encourage us all to explore the application of Computer Science in the creative and cultural industries.

The Programme will run Monday-Friday from 10am until 4pm. Participants will need to be able to attend the whole boot camp and will have the opportunity to gain a CLOCK Award.

From physical to digital

USE YOUR ILLUSTRATIONS, GRAPHICS OR PHOTOGRAPHY AND 3-D MODELS TO CREATE VIDEO GAMES

Come and learn some practical digital skills including how to use your drawings, graphics, photographs, models and sculptures (or even your robots from Boot Camp 1) in game design. Jean-Loup Didelot, an independent game designer, will co-facilitate the week alongside our own CLOCK expert, Claudia Matera, working in the creative, digital and cultural industries. This is for people at all levels of experience from complete beginners to experts. All participants should be aged 16+.

Jean-Loup makes music and games and teaches both subjects to people of all ages in Switzerland, France and the UK. Jean-Loup attended SupInfoGame in France and then graduated from the London College of Creative Media in 2016. He is working on several games as a producer, game designer and programmer, and loves taking part in game jams.
