All Nations exhibition

All Nations social group and lunch club with a difference, is for people aged 65 to 95 years old who meet in Karamel’s McQueen Theatre. We invite you to discover the diverse array of art and accessories that the All Nations group have created through the weekly meetups. Activities have included: Tai Chi and movement, Painting Still Life, Crocheting and making Jewellery.

Elaine Roberts, volunteer/passionate champion of All Nations, says: “The group has been a life-line for many as they so look forward to meeting people from all nations in a social arts setting. I cannot thank Collage Arts enough for the valuable support in giving us a home and providing the activities.”

The Still Life Painting sessions have been supported by Yana Stajno, local artist. They are an exploration of flowers, fruit and vegetables. Everyone who took part was totally new to painting, and learned about colour, light and texture. They over-came challenges like visual impairment, limited English, mental health, and now really look forward to the sessions. As a result, we extended the run of painting sessions. The resulting art is super and a testament to how art transforms lives at all ages. Collage Arts gratefully acknowledges the support of Big Issue Invest Social Enterprise Support Fund and National Lottery Community Fund in making this project possible.
